Daniel Sheahan is a Director, Producer and Senior Editor at MotionLit, where he produces High-Impact Legal Video content including Day-in-the-Life films, Settlement Documentaries, Site Inspections, and Surveillance Video Enhancements. With a Master of Fine Arts from the USC School of Cinematic Arts - recognized as the top film school in the world, Daniel brings a cinematic approach to storytelling.
Daniel has been called as an Expert Witness in Video Production before the California Supreme Court. Daniel's creative direction is evident in numerous landmark cases using visuals to showcase the devastation faced by victims of abuse, ultimately leading to multi-million dollar settlements including $30 million and $8.5 million results. He has also documented cases with a jury verdict, including a $412 million victory, where Daniel led the marketing effort, producing a case study documenting the events of the trial.
In addition to his legal media work, Daniel is a decorated independent filmmaker with over 100 official selections and awards at Film Festivals worldwide. He produced the documentary short "Spokespeople" (2022) which examined the dangers faced by cyclists and pedestrians in Los Angeles. The film won "Best Documentary Short" at the Oscar - qualifying Rhode Island International Film Festival and was also an official selection at multiple Oscar and BAFTA qualifying festivals including the Bolton and Edmonton International Film Festivals. The film was invited to the American Pavilion at the Cannes Film Festival and later expanded into a feature-length documentary titled Freak Bikes, which premiered at the Better Cities Film Festival in Detroit.
